The Trade/Economic segment of the annual Bilateral Consultations between Nigeria and the Netherlands was held in Abuja and Lagos from 5th-8th June 2023. The first segment of the Consultations on Political, Consular and Migration issues took place in Abuja from 2nd – 3rd May 2023.
The Dutch Trade Delegation to Nigeria was led by the Vice Minister for Foreign Trade, Ms Hanneke Schulling, while the Political/Migration Delegation was led by the Deputy Director General for Political Affairs, Ms Erica Schouten.
Predicated on the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Africa Strategy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the focal areas of bilateral Trade/Economic relations are:
- Circular Economy
- Renewable Energy
- Healthcare/Life Sciences
- Agriculture Value Chain, including Climate-Smart Agriculture
- Waterways and Flood Control
