Visa

It takes an average of Seven (7) working days from the day of submission at our Visa Application Center (OIS).

Passport

It takes a minimum of two weeks for Passport to be ready, especially for fresh application and renewal.

This is in line with the Federal Government Directive that citizen data be harmonized across platforms to ensure data uniformity.

  1. Make payment for New Passport using correct data.
  2. Address a formal letter to the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters, Abuja, requesting for the correction of data on Your passport.
  3. Provide supporting documents which must include NIMC slip bearing correct NIN, copy of Resident Permit or Data page of their Nationality Passport, Affidavit and Newspaper Publication for change of name, if applicable.

This is dependent on the response from NIS as such requests are forwarded to their Headquarters and they do not have a specific timeline.
