The Embassy wishes to inform Nigerians living in The Netherlands and neighboring countries that in preparation for the roll-out of the new enhanced passport scheduled to take off on 8th November 2023, all passport applicants are required to have National Identification Numbers (NIN) before embarking on the process, as the NIN is now an integral feature of the new passport.
The Embassy further advises that prospective applicants should pay attention to the data on their National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure that it tallies with the information on their passport or the information they intend to use for their passport (in the case of fresh application). Failure to adhere to this could lead to delay in the passport issuance process and in some cases the inability to produce such passports as data on National Identification Number (NIN) is now harmonized with the data on the new passport.
For further enquiries on this matter, the Embassy can be reached on phone numbers +31687329785/+31703501703 and the following email addresses: nigerianthehague@gmail.com nigembassyconsularsection@gmail.com
The Embassy of Nigeria, The Hague, wishes to inform passport applicants whose dates of enrollment were April 2023 and also those whose enrollment dates preceded the aforementioned period that their passports have been produced. They are advised to approach the Immigration Desk for pick up.
This notification is strictly for those applicants who did not enclose a self-addressed envelope with their applications as applications with a self-addressed envelope have been dispatched accordingly.
